T-shirt designing is fun but it can get funny if you don't get it right. There are some core basics to t-shirt designs and one needs to understand and apply to better output.
Here are 6 basic principles to consider while designing and printing t-shirts.
Dive into your collection of fonts. Find the one that best suits your artwork and design concept. Fonts can set the mood of your design.
While printing avoid a big patch of colors. A large area of colors can make is “patchy and awkward” Use white as a highlight and let the garment color do the trick.
A straight line of text can make it difficult to read. Break up lines of text for better visibility.
Be cautious while selecting colors that are very similar. A graphic/design will appear differently in a digital mockup and on the final product.
The visual center of a design is often not the true center.
